A century old teak wood mortar originally used to grind rice, is repurposed into this minimalist side table or stool. We first turned it upside down and smoothed out the entire piece and then added sleek cut outs on the sides. Finished in a espresso translucent stain revealing the beautiful wood grain. It’s all in the details. Both usable and sculptural. We have a small collection. The images and price reflect the one shown. All one of a kind.
