A beautiful century old two inch thick teak slab with a slight live edge, has been hand crafted into a unique coffee table whilst respecting the natural organic wood. The top is supported with minimalist hand carved legs. We added shell inlay into each side by hand. Finished with our secret ingredient revealing the unique wood grain. It’s all in the details. This coffee table was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
