Two beautiful century old thick teak panels have been hand crafted into a one of a kind bench or chaise whilst respecting the natural organic wood. The top is supported with minimalist hand carved smooth legs. Finished with our secret ingredient revealing the impressive wood grain. It’s all in the details. Full dimensions; 68″ wide x 16.5” deep x 15” seat height and raises to 17” high on one side.
This bench or chaise was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
