Beautiful aged teak wood panels joined together with lovely patina, soft rounded edges and butterflies inlaid into the wood. Celebrating the cracks and crevices and all the other marks that time and loving use have left behind. We added minimalist cylinder legs in contrast that can be shortened if preferred. Perfect as a desk, small dining table or entrance table.
This beautiful table was handmade in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
