A century old teak wood mortar originally used to grind rice, is repurposed into this minimalist side table or stool. Part of the Mid Century Couture Collection, featuring our unique minimalist carving. We first turned this ancient piece upside down and smoothed it out entirely and then made sleek cut outs on the sides. Finished in a natural oil revealing the beautiful wood grain. It’s all in the details. Both usable and sculptural. We have a pair with the carving. The images and price reflect the one shown.
