Impressive long bench made from over a century old teak wood. Originally used on the opposite side for storing valuables, as partially hollow. We turned it around and added two stone platform bases to produce this one of a kind bench hand carved from a single large thick wood log. The scroll carving and patina are stunning. Lightly bleached revealing the beautiful wood grain. Both usable and sculptural. Full dimensions; 102.5” wide x 13″ wide x 13″ high without the stands and floating on the stone stands 18” high. Shown with and without. Museum quality.
The St. Barts Collection features an exciting line of organic bleached, white wash and natural weathered teak furniture. The reclaimed teak is bleached and left to bake in the sun and sea salt air for over a year to achieve this unique finish. Select pieces are infused with a brilliant aqua or soft blue resin that is cracked to achieve a unique quartz crystal effect. The final result evokes imagery of the white sand beaches and brilliant aqua waters from the famous French Caribbean Island.
