This beautiful ankle cuff bronze sculpture, is hand forged, very heavy and a great tribal collectible. Typically worn for celebrations and relatively short periods due to the weight, but on occasion, brides might actually wear them for months at a time. It retains its original patina and includes lovely carvings etched into the bronze.
This bronze sculpture was sourced in the spirit of wabi-sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
